Guidelines

All hotels are required to replace all pillows, at latest, two (2) years from the date indicated on each pillow tag. Any defective pillow (e.g., stained, torn, lumpy, flat) must be replaced immediately. 

Hotels must comply with the increased pillow quantity. Each bed must be supplied with bed pillows as follows:

  • Three (3) standard pillows must be provided for each double bed.
  • Three (3) standard pillows must be provided for each queen-sized bed.
  • Four (4) standard size pillows OR two (2) king size pillows must be provided for each king-sized bed.
  • Each pillow must be the WynRest Gel Fiber (T-220, Brushed Microfiber) and meet the minimum specifications listed.
  • Specifications for pillow requirements are as follows:
    • WynRest Medium Recycled Gel Fiber Standard 20” x 26”, 28.5 oz.
    • WynRest Medium Recycled Gel Fiber King 20” x 36”, 39 oz.
    • WynRest Firm Recycled Gel Fiber Standard 20” x 26”, 37 oz.
    • WynRest Firm Recycled Gel Fiber King 20” x 36”, 51 oz.
  • Pillows are cleaned on a periodic basis, kept free of odor, stains, tears, and holes at all times, and replaced when they become matted or are no longer fluffy.

All guestroom pillows must have a Wynrest branded pillow protector meeting the following requirements:

  • 220 thread count, microfiber, zippered closure.
  • Wrinkle, stain, and mildew resistant.
  • The pillow protector must meet the dimensions of the pillow provided.

Canadian hotels must provide a WynRest pillow and pillow protector or equivalent meeting the dimensions, specifications and fill provided above.
